The Tall Ships Have Arrived

Just home from a glorious afternoon of boat watching. Every kind of boat imaginable welcomed the fleet of tall ships (not sure how many, but there were supposed to be 8 or 9) as they proudly showed off the magnificence of a by-gone era. With booming cannons and clouds of smoke they entered the ship canal one by one. Shoreline crowds basked in the warm sunshine, picnicked on blankets, cooled off in refreshing Lake Superior waters and enjoyed the show. We can relax now that they're finally here. Touring the ships will be another story. We certainly hope the long waits experienced two years ago are not the case this time. We'll wait to hear the reports from our guests!
